A marketing expert from the south-west will share secrets of how businesses can best benefit from social media marketing on LinkedIn’s Lynda.com learning platform from Monday 5 February.
Luan’s new online learning course, ‘B2B Foundations: Social Media Marketing’ will explore how social media can be used in a business to business (B2B) context to full advantage. Her 32 minute tutorial covers how to understand and communicate with those involved in business buying decisions.
Luan will also share wise words about the processes of social selling, content marketing, creating a social media policy and measuring success.
Luan said: “Studies show that many companies consult social media to research the products and services they need to run their business. Platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and Instagram provide ways to introduce your products and services to potential customers and can also support lead generation, customer service and recruitment objectives to name but a few.
“Social media might appear to belong to business to consumer (B2C) marketers, and the habits and expectations of B2B customers are often set by B2C brands. In the B2C world it is all about consumers engaging with the brand, in B2B it is all about the solution and problem solving. In B2B, we buy from people we know, like and trust, which is why social media as a communications and online networking tool is so important.”
Luan was spotted by LinkedIn’s PR agency back in 2015 for their #LinkedInBestConnected campaign for International Women’s Day. The professional social media network, which boasts more than 530 million members worldwide, subsequently signed up Luan as an author to write and deliver content for Lynda.com, twice flying her out to the USA to record her videos on the topics of social media and content marketing.
To date, her engaging tutorials have been viewed more than 150,000 times. This is Luan’s fourth course for Lynda.com, two more courses are confirmed for release in 2018.
For those who would rather hear Luan talk about the topic in person, she will be taking to the stage during Bristol’s Social Media Week on March 2 at the Engine Shed, Bristol BS1 6QH. Tickets are available from Eventbrite.
Luan is also running a series of free training courses for SMEs at Gloucestershire College and is running a full day’s programme on Social Media for Business on March 8. For more information, call the Gloucestershire College Business Hub team on 01452 563403 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
