Conference Cambridge is the official free venue-finding service for Cambridge University and its Colleges.

Ambassador Programmes have proved successful in cities such as Newcastle, Gateshead, Edinburgh and Liverpool, where they have attracted events, visitors and significant revenue to the area, and Conference Cambridge decided to establish a similar programme.

Filming permissions were sought, and the city was captured on film.

The Cambridge Ambassador Programme, open to members of professional bodies, associations, societies, institutes and federations, launched on 14 June 2012. Brochures, printed DVDs and a short film to promote the launch were managed and produced by Luan Wise.

Prior to the launch, Conference Cambridge secured a series of bids to hold events in the city. These events are collectively worth £1.2 million, and a further £5 million to the local economy. The Cambridge Ambassador Programme aims to exceed this over the next few years.
